On September 19, 1991, David fell victim to a terrible farm accident and was paralyzed from mid-chest down. The Lord determined he had yet another commission. He loved and cherished his students, and over the many years they reciprocated by loving him back which he deeply appreciated.ĭavid's work wasn't quite done when he retired from teaching in 1986. Teaching young impressionable minds allowed him to practice this biblical principle every day at work. In 1961, David began pursuit of a degree in Education, culminating with him joining the staff of District 702 teaching 6th grade.ĭavid was a devout Christian, who deeply believed that as Jesus taught, he needed to "love God and his neighbor as much as himself" (Luke 10:27). ![]() However, early in their married life, he and Eunie determined there was another chapter in their lives that needed to be written. David was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters (Nancy Koch and Mary Eisenmann).ĭavid was a farmer his entire life who had a particular love for cattle, always enjoying looking over a herd of cows and calves. Additionally, he is survived by 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, as well as seven siblings – Alvin Beutel, Helen Zimmerman, Barbara Moser, Ruth Koch, Annette Schambach, Fred Beutel and Phillip Beutel. His children, Sally (and Roger) Koch, Roger (and JoAnn) Beutel, Janice (and Howard) Sauder, and Dean (and Karen) Beutel, are all living in the Tremont area. David and Eunice looked forward to celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary this coming November, but our Lord had a better plan. Our family would like to especially recognize the entire staff at Restmor for their outstanding care and love for David.ĭavid was born on March 12, 1928, in Tremont to parents William and Rosina (Pflederer) Beutel. ![]() He was at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, where he had been a resident for five years. Beutel, 93, peacefully passed away at 03:12 on August 7, 2021. ![]()
